In London of 1807, Sir Humphrey Davy isolated calcium. He did several experiments and only produced tiny amounts of metal. He later received help from Jons Berzelius.
Davy was an English chemist and inventor. He is remembered today for his discoveries of several alkali and alkaline earth metals. He made several contributions to science including discovering chlorine and iodine.
